58 Bulgarian cultural organizations and cultural representatives from all parts of the country participated in the information day dedicated to the First call under Outcome 3 "Awareness of arts and culture of ethnic and cultural minorities improved (Roma focus)"
During the information day, which took place today, 08th October, the team of the Programme operator provided clarifications about the Call. The goal was to support the process of preparation of project proposals in direct dialogue with the interested organizations. In order to respect the anti-epidemic measures, the event was held in the format of a videoconference with increased interest from potential applicants.
The Programme Operator presented the Programme and the main objectives and conditions under the Call that was open for applications on 27th August 2021, as well as the requirements for applicants and partners (see presentation here). "We hope that this Call will reach more people and be useful", said Ms. Silva Hacheryan, expert in the PO team and head of the Regional Activities Department at the Ministry of Culture.
The main goals of Outcome 3 are to promote cultural initiatives of ethnic and cultural minorities (with a focus on Roma) and to attract new audiences, including in remote areas and/or areas with poor access; to involve the majority and minority groups (with a focus on Roma) in cultural projects and to improve their access to culture and arts; to improve the situation of the Roma population in Bulgaria, using culture and art as means of developing skills/capacity and/or as a path to education.
Eligible applicants are any non-commercial entities, public or private, as well as non-governmental organizations, established as a legal person in Bulgaria, whose principal activity is in the cultural and creative sectors as defined in Regulation (EU) No 1295/2013 on the Creative Europe Programme, including municipalities.
Projects worth a total of € 1,300,000 will be supported, with a maximum and minimum of € 75,000 and € 25,000 per project respectively.
