Short description of the project:
ACCESS TO ARTS AND CULTURE IMPROVED BY THE JOINT EFFORTS OF FOUNDATION BULGARIA INTERNATIONAL 2002, THE NATIONAL ART GALLERY AND ELVEX LARS VITBERG EXPERIENCE (NORWAY) aims to improve the access of citizens to arts and culture as well as to engage new audiences with cultural events. The main goals of the project are to create a travelling VR Gallery, an interactive travelling play, a contemporary Railway Ballet and a music talent show.
The project will use innovative entrepreneurial strategies for developing new audiences and involving them in the cultural life of the country. The project includes travelling events in 11 small towns and 4 larger towns. One of the cultural events will be a concert of a young talent with the Philharmonic of the National Radio and will target people that reside outside of the city center.
The implementation of the project activities will allow representatives of various minority and ethnic groups and young people, as part of the target groups under the project, to overcome economic backwardness and social exclusion, gaining access to contemporary creative productions, as well as through opportunities for personal development and entrepreneurship.
One partner is the Cultural Institute “National Gallery” (Bulgaria), and the other Elvex Lars Wittberg Experience (Norway). The National Gallery will assist in providing the material exhibit base for the development of a mobile VR gallery, as well as for ensuring wider representation, through the partner network it has already built on a national scale. The Norwegian partner has more than 25 years of experience in a wide range of projects and works mainly in organizing conceptual events and art installations for fairs/concerts/festivals. One of the distinctive innovations that the Elvex Lars Wittberg Experience company offers is ‘experience design’ where the viewer is never passive.
