Kazanlak hydraulic equipment company “M+C Hydraulic” AD has successfully implemented the contract to introduce measures to improve its energy efficiency, supported by the grant of the European Economic area Financial Mechanism. The duration of the project was 12 months, from May 2023 to May 2024. Its total value is BGN 980 860, with grant financing provided by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway amounting to over BGN 383,000.
The implementation of energy-saving activities has achieved several important objectives. Old energy-intensive equipment is replaced with modern and energy-efficient one. New chamber machine and a chamber furnace for processing components are supplied and put into service. An energy consumption monitoring system is put in place and a ventilation system is installed to recover waste heat from the main production.
At the event devoted to the completion of the project, its Project Manager Vladimir Spassov, an “M+C Hydraulic”, expressed satisfaction with the work well done. He expressed gratitude on behalf of the team to the Donor countries for the grant and underlined that owing to the investments made, the company would permanently reduce its energy consumption and carbon emissions from thermal processing. This will have benefit the company's economic growth and competitiveness. Plans for the introduction of zero-waste and circular technological models to strengthen the effect achieved by the measures under the contract were also discussed at the meeting.
