On December 22, 2023, the Programme Operator under the "Environment Protection and Climate Change" programme (BG ENVIRONMENT), cofinanced by the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, published a call for financing an initiative "Capacity building in the development and implementation of terms of reference for methodology about assessing pressure and impact of diffuse sources of pollution of Black Sea marine waters" under the Bilateral fund. The initiative has been approved by the Cooperation Committee of the EPCC Programme under the EEA FM 2014-2021
The main goal of the initiative is to increase the knowledge and skills of experts from Bulgaria, by transferring knowledge and good practices of Norwegian experience. As a result of the implementation of the initiative, a technical specification for the Methodology for Diffuse Pollution of Seawater will be prepared and a sustainable consortium of competent Bulgarian and Norwegian institutions will be created to develop the methodology.
The deadline for submitting project initiatives is 15.01.2024.
