On November 14, 2023, a conference was held in connection with the implementation of BGENVIRONMENT-1.001-0001-C01 Predefined project 1 "Valuation and integration of ecosystem services", financed under the "Environmental Protection and Climate Change" Program of the EEA FM 2014-2021.
The main objective of the project is the contribution to the ecosystem services integration in the area of national planning, accountancy and reporting, targeting the tourist sector. As a result of the project implementation, a system for valuation of the services for 9 types of Bulgarian ecosystems will be developed.
The concept of the ecosystem was presented before the representatives from all interested parties and the experience of Bulgaria, Great Britain and France in the area of valuation of those services was shared.
