Today, on October 31, we celebrate the International Day of the Black Sea and the signing of the Strategic Action Plan for the restoration and protection of the Black Sea, related to the so-called Bucharest Convention, with the signing of which the six bordering Black Sea countries confirm the importance of the protection of the Black Sea by all of us.
In relation to this, the Basin Directorate "Black Sea Region" (BDCR), beneficiary under Predefined project No. 2 "Knowledge and information regarding regional activities for the protection of the environment of the Black Sea", financed under the Program "Environmental Protection and Climate Change" of the FM of the EEA 2014-2021, organized an Open Day. Every citizen will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the activities and work organization of the BDCHR and to meet with experts.
In the municipality of Burgas, students from SU "D. Chintulov" will arrange an art installation at the Clock and an exhibition in the municipality building on this occasion, in the municipality of Nessebar - an exhibition of the award-winning works from the "I love the Black Sea" contest will be presented to the public and an award ceremony to the awarded participants in the competition will be organised. As a beneficiary under the "Environment protection and climate change" program, both municipalities successfully implemented projects within which activities related to the reduction of waste in the Black Sea water area were carried out.
