Private high school “Educational Technologies”, Project Promoter under the BGENVIRONMENT-3.001-0006-C02 “Be part of the cycle! Re-solve” project, financed under the “Environment Protection and Climate Change” Programme of the EEA FM 2014-2021, conducted an ecological campaign on the occasion of World Earth day as a part of the project activities. Within the framework of the campaign, students of all ages participated in numerous activities related to environmental protection which lasted for a whole month - -from the second half of April until the first half of May.
First grade students used the well-known everyday objects for planting seeds of different flowers using old lamp shade covering and made feeders for birds from used bottles.
Children from second and third grade expressed their creativity in making the décor for the end of year celebration ceremony by reusing recycled waste materials, as well as toys from paper and plastic caps.
Essays with topic “We must be wiser, not more modern” were presented by fourth grade students, as the winner essays were displayed in the school lobby. The children also took part in a discussion held in English on the topic “I am recycling! (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle)”.
The upper class students took part in a month-long "Eco Patrol" challenge during which the student on duty makes sure that all students in class throw their waste separately. Along with that, the students also planted flowers and trees in the school yard.
