Brief description:
The overall project objective is to increase the capacity at municipal level to evaluate strategic plans and programs by improving the processes of strategic planning, monitoring of implementation and application of innovative measures and activities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate and adapt to adverse consequences of climate change. Specific objectives:
1. Implementation of innovative pilot measures in the energy and biodiversity sector to reduce and limit greenhouse gas emissions in the municipalities of Haskovo, Stambolovo and Madjarovo;
2. Reduction of the dependence on energy from hydrocarbons and fossil fuels and popularization of ecological technological solutions in the everyday life of the inhabitants of the municipalities of Haskovo, Stambolovo and Madzharovo;
3. Increasing the skills and expertise of the employees of Haskovo Municipality, Stambolovo Municipality and Madjarovo Municipality for planning and implementation or assignment of activities for evaluation of the effectiveness of strategic plans and programs in the field of sustainable development and adaptation to the adverse effects of climate change.
