Brief description:
The "School for a Green Future" project aims to raise the awareness of students aged 10-17 and teachers from nine schools in Bulgaria regarding resource management, waste recycling and the circular economy. Within the framework of the project, attitudes among students will be studied and the extent of their awareness about the topic of waste as raw materials, separate collection, recycling, etc. will be investigated. The results of the research will be summarized in a report that will include recommendations on specific topics. The recommended topics will be included in an interactive learning program that will be developed within the project. It is planned to explore good practices for building skills among adolescents for separate collection of waste at school and in households, and to borrow from donor countries and other European countries extracurricular approaches to develop children's creative abilities to engage in the circular economy. The identified good practices will be described in a report and will serve as a basis for the preparation of a handbook. Its content will include the complete interactive training program. The handbook will serve to facilitate teachers to teach students about topics related to environmental protection, other than the compulsory curricula. Many trainings, exhibitions, waste collection campaigns for recycling will be held. Attractive containers for separate waste collection will be purchased.
