12th Cooperation Committee meeting of the Home Affairs Programme

The Programme Operator, International Projects Directorate - Ministry of the Interior, hosted the 12th Cooperation Committee meeting of the Home Affairs Programme of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021. Detailed information was presented on the progress of the projects, financial implementation, procurement status and communication performance.

The Committee was attended by all members: National Police Directorate of Norway (POD), Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI), Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security (JD) and representatives of the Council of Europe. The observers were represented by the Financial Mechanism Office, National Focal Point, Bulgarian Ministry of Justice and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bucharest, accredited for Bulgaria.

The Centre for the provision of complex social support for unaccompanied miners project in the Oborishte district of Sofia, funded under the programme, attracted interest among the participants. In the protected home, which is a pilot project for our country, 10 children are accommodated, for whom individual specialized care is provided.

The Committee members also visited the General Directorate of National Police, where the implementation of the project „Improvement of the efficiency of the police activity in the field of domestic and gender-based violence“ was presented.
