The 8th Cooperation Committee Meeting of the Home Affairs Programme was held online on 14 December 2021. All member organisations participated in the meeting: representatives of the Programme Operator (Ministry of Interior of Bulgaria), National Police Directorate of Norway, Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security, Norwegian Directorate of Immigration, and the Council of Europe. Observers were represented by Financial Mechanism Office, National Focal Point, and Ministry of Justice of Bulgaria.
Participants reviewed the submitted draft amendment to the Programme Agreement approved in 2021, the results of the conducted selection procedure on open call “Improving the national asylum and migration capacities, especially as regards provision of conditions for vulnerable migrants and in particular for unaccompanied minors”, the implementation of pre-defined projects and bilateral initiatives. Detailed information was presented for the financial implementation of the programme and the public procurement process under the projects.
The next Cooperation Committee meeting will be held in the spring of 2022.
