In the closing event of the project "Prevention and Counteraction of Corruption", funded by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, the Internal Security Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in partnership with DG National Police presented the results achieved:
Mobile app for alerts against Ministry of Interior officers, which enables quickly, easily and securely report misconduct, irregularities or corruption. You can attach audio and video files, as well as quickly access the page: www.mvr.bg/nocorr and a phone line +359 2 982 2222. The application is called " Corruption Alerts - Ministry of Interior" and complies with the European directive for the protection of the identity of the persons who report corruption. In order to promote the application, a large-scale information campaign has been carried out across the country - with specially organised events in Sofia, Plovdiv, Blagoevgrad and Stara Zagora, the placement of billboards in key locations, as well as the making of a video that can currently be seen on screens in metro stations. 24 training seminars were held, in which participated the 150 employees of the Directorate. Good practices, professional experience and expertise were exchanged with partner services, experts and lecturers from Romania, UK, France, Spain and Italy.
Specialised hardware, computer configurations and related software were supplied, which upgraded the operational capacity for forensic analysis and processing of large volumes of data.
