40 officials from the Commission for Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Property and international representatives participated in a specialised training to strengthen the capacity of the Bulgarian authorities in the management and recovery of seized assets. The training is part of a project funded by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism. Its main objectives are to conduct effective anti-corruption investigations, trace assets from criminal activities, cooperate across borders and exchange experiences with partner agencies to carry out seizures abroad and participate in joint investigation teams.
