The Ministry of Justice, as Program Operator, hosted the second meeting of this year's Committee on Cooperation under the Justice Programme of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021. The meeting was held online on November 30, 2021.
Deputy Minister of Justice Maria Pavlova, who is also the Head of the Program Operator, said at the opening that the challenge for the Program is to overcome the delay in implementation compared to the original schedule for almost all predefined projects. She expressed confidence that the efforts of all parties will go towards optimizing the overall work to achieve the goals and indicators.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman and members of the Committee, representatives of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security of the Kingdom of Norway, the Norwegian Correctional Service, the Norwegian Court Administration and the Council of Europe, experts from the management team of the Program Operator. Experts from the Financial Mechanism Office and the National Coordination Unit took part in the meeting as observers.
According to the legal framework of the NFM, the Cooperation Committee is the main tool for managing and monitoring the program in mutual cooperation between the program operator and the partner organizations from the donor country.
