The Ministry of Justice, as Programme Operator of the Justice Programme of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, hosted a technical meeting with representatives of the Financial Mechanism Office (FMO) in Brussels. The meeting was organised by the National Coordination Unit.
On behalf of the OFM, Ms. Ellen Riote - Expert responsible for Bulgaria, Ms. Anita Fieldseter - Expert Justice and Home Affairs, and Mr. Christian Carli - Expert in the Priority Sectors Unit participated. More OFM financial and legal experts joined online.
Participants discussed progress in programme and project implementation, risks and upcoming actions.
After the meeting, a working visit was carried out to the village of Samoranovo, where construction works related to the implementation of RAP 2 "Increasing staff capacity, building a pilot prison linked to a training centre and improving the rehabilitation of prisoners" are being carried out.
During the tour, the guests received an update on the progress of the renovation works. Discussions were held on adhering to the project schedule and addressing identified risks, as well as details related to the overall progress of the works
