Government agents from the Directorate of the ‘Procedural Representation of Bulgaria before the ECtHR’ at the Ministry of Justice underwent summer trainings under the project ‘Enhancing the National Capacity for the Effective Implementation of the Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights’, funded by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014—2021.
Between June and July 2023, 4 training sessions were held by the European University Institute in Florence, Utrecht University in the Netherlands, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Institute for European Studies at the Free University of Brussels.
The programme included interactive lectures and discussions on the topics:
- disability rights and equality and discrimination issues;
- the EU criminal justice area;
- women, gender and international human rights law.
