On 26 October 2021 the team on the organization and management of the project „Modern learning environment for judges, prosecutors, investigating judges and other legal professionals“, implemented by the National Institute of Justice with the support of Justice Program of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 held a working meeting with representatives of the Norwegian Courts Administration as project partner.
On behalf of the Norwegian partner the meeting attended Iwar Arnstad - Head of International Secretariat to the Norwegian Court Administration; Victor Drosu – Legal and project consultant on European Economic Area and Norway Grants; Zozan Kaya Asphaug - Senior Advisor, Legal Division, International Secretariat and Nieke van De Berg, project coordinator.
Silviya Dimitrova, project leader, made an overview of the progress achieved under the project, as well as on the challenges for the effective implementation of the activities that originated from the pandemic situation. The cooperation with the Norwegian Courts Administration and the support of the Norwegian partner are a guarantee for the success of the project.
Iwar Arnstad expressed his satisfaction with the joint work with the NIJ team. The foreign guests stated their commitment and interest towards all project activities and confirmed their engagement for the provision of Norwegian experts in relation with the planned training activities and the organization of working sessions of the upgraded human rights forum.
Both parties emphasized on the importance of conducting more bilateral meetings for the exchange of ideas and proposals fоr joint work.
