The institutions in the town of. Lom in partnership to support the work of the Centre for Counselling and Legal Aid for Children.
On the initiative of the experts from the project "Specialized services for children from Roma communities in conflict or contact with the law", funded by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 in the city was held a workshop with representatives of various institutions relevant to the topic in the city.
The Centre's team consists of 3 people - a service coordinator, a lawyer providing legal representation to the service, and a psychologist. It provides services such as coordination of case work for children in contact or conflict with the law, children with risky behaviour, victims or witnesses of crime, participants in legal and administrative procedures, information and counselling of children and families - legal, psychological, social, health and educational, targeted prevention of children at risk, etc.
The project team presented the main goals, objectives and activities, as well as the results of the study and the analysis of the region's potential for piloting the service.
The project "Specialized services for children from Roma communities in conflict or contact with the law" is implemented in three regions - Pazardzhik, Plovdiv and Lom. Partners in its implementation are Roma-Lom Foundation, Roma Foundation for Regional Development - Plovdiv and Save a child - Norway.
