By the end of January next year the new modern building, which will house the detention and probation service of Petrich, should be completed.
The reconstruction started a year ago, and the investment project envisages the construction of cells, a meeting room, a room for meetings with a psychologist, a medical room, administrative rooms for the supervisory and administrative staff, and a carriage for outdoor stays. The capacity of the detention facility is up to 40 detainees.
The funds for the reconstruction of the building are a grant within the Justice Programme under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 /NFМ/ and amount to BGN 1 million 416 thousand. The site is part of the project "Providing a safe and secure material environment in prisons and detention facilities".
