Justice Minister Krum Zarkov inspected today the progress of the construction of the new penitentiary facility in Samoranovo, which includes a training centre and a new prison.
The activity is funded by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014—2021 under the project ‘Enhancing the capacity of the prison staff, building a pilot prison facility connected to a training centre and improving the rehabilitation of prisoners’.
On site, the Minister found that the construction works were being carried out on time. The facility is to be completed by the end of April 2024.
