The representatives of the Norwegian Correctional Service Kristin Franklin Saunes and Ole Stageberg visited the plot close to the village of Samoranovo, Dupnitsa Municipality, where a training centre and a pilot prison are to be built under the Justice Programme of the NFM 2014 – 2021.
In the course of their visit, during the seminar on 24 and 25 June 2019 where the Programme Operator - the Ministry of Justice - presented follow-up actions in the preparation of the assess procedure for the pre-defined projects and the follow-up conclusion of contracts with the beneficiaries, Deputy Minister of Justice Prof. Nikolay Prodanov, Vasil Miladinov, Director General at Directorate General Execution of Punishments (DGEP), Ivaylo Yordnaov, DGEP Deputy Head, and Aleksandar Apostolov, Bobov Dol Prison Head, presented the ideas and plans about the building of the facilities.
The seminar was attended by representatives of the National Coordination Units - Adelina Vezenkova and Garo Marukyan, as well as representatives of programme beneficiaries from the Supreme Judicial Council, the National Institute of Justice, the National Legal Aid Office and the Ministry of Justice.
The experts from the Programme Management Team familiarized the beneficiaries with the Management and Control Systems (MCS) of the Justice Programme, NFM 2014 – 2021, the guidelines for applications and evaluation of pre-defined projects, the manner of inputting the project proposals into the Management and Monitoring Information System (MMIS), the requirements for the announcement and implementation of public procurement in line with the MCS and the programme requirements for information and publicity.
The tender procedure for pre-defined projects is to be launched and the Programme Operator will notify the beneficiaries timely about it.
