On July 15th, 2022, an informational meeting was held on the project "Provision of integrated services for early childhood development in the municipality of Tvarditsa".
The main goal of the project is to provide support to children from vulnerable groups, including Roma communities in early childhood and their families to improve access to health care, form parenting skills, improve the family environment, increase children's school readiness for inclusion in the education system, aiming to limit the transmission of poverty between generations.
The project will create complex integrated measures aimed at improving access to education, health protection and development of social skills for children from vulnerable groups, with a focus on the Roma community. It is planned to create a complex of functionally connected services (hubs) in three socially isolated communities on the territory of the town of Tverditsa, the town of Shivachevo and the village of Sborishte. The activities of the hubs will reflect the needs of the local communities and will offer services in the areas of education, healthcare and social activities. The target group of the complex will be children aged 0 to 6, who do not attend kindergarten or crèche and live in isolated, poor areas with a concentration of problems creating a risk of poverty and social exclusion, as well as their parents. The implementation of the planned activities is a prerequisite for improving the well-being of children of Roma origin and their families. For the successful implementation of the project, the implementation of key activities reflecting the needs of the target groups is foreseen, which will lead to the achievement of the set goals and results.
