In the period 30 May - 01 June 2023, the Programme Operator of the Programme "Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Enhanced Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups", financed through the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014 - 2021 (EEA FM), is holding a round table for exchange of experience and best practices with other Programme operators under Local Development and Poverty Reduction Programs financed under the EEA FM and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
The main focus of the event is the sharing of experiences, best practices and lessons learned with programme operators and organizations from over 10 countries. We look forward to learn from each other, share our achievements, struggles and lessons learned. The event takes place in close cooperation with the Financial Mechanism office (FMO), which assists the Financial Mechanism Committee in the management of the EEA FM 2014-2021 and is responsible for its day-to-day implementation.
In addition to the cultural and historical heritage of the city of Sofia and the city of Plovdiv, the participants were able to see and visit the Plovdiv Youth Center, hear its history, as well as get to know the great team and its activities. The program continued with the extremely interesting presentations by all Programme Operators, and on the second day of the event, representatives of several projects under the "Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Enhanced Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups" Programme took part. The beneficiaries talked about their projects and the results achieved so far. The partners of the programme - the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities (KS) and the Council of Europe (CoE) shared their experience and impressions of the overall work together, and representatives of the FMO together with the Council of Europe (CoE) moderated two active and interesting working groups on issues related to Roma inclusion and vulnerable groups, as well as Capacity building of the local potential for the implementation of local development projects. The natural end of the event is the sharing of the results and conclusions of the working groups, to note the most important highlights, to outline future plans and actions and of course - to wish each other until new meetings.
