On 07.06.2023, an interim press - conference on the project "Together today, together tomorrow - local communities in support of improved early childhood education and care" took place in the Meeting Hall of the Municipality of Burgas regarding the progress of the project in the first year. The beneficiary of the project is the Municipality of Malko Tarnovo, and the project partners are the Municipality of Burgas, the Directorate of Education and Youth in Reykjavík, Iceland and the National Network for Health Mediators - Sofia. Municipal administration employees, representatives of interested parties, the local public, regional media, as well as project partners took part in the interim press conference. The event was also attended by representatives of the partner from Iceland, and their visit was combined with an activity to exchange experience and best practices, which is an activity part of the project. To date, two minibuses have been purchased, which represent mobile hubs in cities of Malko Tarnovo and Burgas. The stationary center was opened in "Pobeda" district in the city of Burgas, which is currently working with children and parents in a non-institutional environment. Through the hubs, health, social and educational services are provided, and access to basic hygiene resources is provided. The renovation of the playgrounds in the yards of the "Yuriy Gagarin" kindergarden in Malko Tarnovo and "Delfin" kidergarden in "Meden Rudnik" district is pending. In the past year, creative workshops, mapping of children from vulnerable groups aged 0 to 6 we held, and survey processing and analysis will also take place.
