On 24 August 2022 the Municipality of Kozloduy held an opening press conference under project “We play, learn and grow together”. The general objective of the project proposal is to provide support to children from vulnerable groups in the municipalities of Kozloduy and Mizia, mainly from Roma communities in early childhood and their families to improve access to health care, form parenting skills, improve the family environment, increasing the school readiness of children for inclusion in the educational system, aiming to limit the transmission of poverty between generations. The specific objectives of the project proposal are:
- To develop and implement complex integrated measures aimed at improving access to education, health protection and development of social skills for children aged 0-6 years from the municipalities of Kozloduy and Mizia, who live in isolated rural and urban areas, mainly poor areas with a concentration of problems creating a risk of poverty, social exclusion and marginalization;
- To ensure the active involvement of the community in the planning and implementation of the measures;
- To create, separate and develop 5 functionally connected hubs for the implementation of a complex of services of an educational, health and social nature, provided to the children of the target group and their parents, through:
- Piloting of a new Hub in the existing center in the building in Yantra district, providing a complex of functional services contributing to increasing the quality of life, social inclusion and early childhood development of children from vulnerable groups;
- Piloting of a new Hub in a public building in the municipality of Mizia;
- Expansion of the existing center for the management and operation of early childhood development services in the building of the "Zvanche" kindergarten;
- Expansion of the existing center for the management and functioning of early childhood development services in the building of Vasil Levski Elementary School - a segregated school with an existing preschool education group and its transformation into a coordination point for the 5 functionally connected hubs.
