Between February 24-27, 2025, a training for representatives of local authorities was held in Stara Zagora, organized under the Programme “Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Enhanced Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups” in partnership with The European Wergeland Centre (EWC).
The training targeted municipal employees working in the fields of education, social services, and inclusion of vulnerable groups. Over the course of four days, participants took part in interactive sessions, discussions, and practical activities focused on:
- Recognizing and overcoming stereotypes and discriminatory attitudes
- Promoting equal opportunities and social inclusion
- Developing strategies for effective cooperation with local communities
- Applying democratic principles and human rights in everyday work
Participants had the opportunity to share experiences, build new partnerships, and discuss concrete approaches to creating more inclusive environments at the local level.
The training is part of the Programme Operator’s efforts to promote social inclusion and equal opportunities for all citizens, with a special focus on the most vulnerable groups in society.
