On November 27, 2024, the official opening of Center “Model for integrated development (MID)” – Samokov established under project “One approach – many solutions. Model for integrated development (MID)”, took place in Samokov. The center is the result of the successful partnership between Samokov Municipality, Health and Social Development Foundation (HESED), Foundation “Seed” Samokov and the Bulgarian Norwegian Association (BNF).
MID Samokov provides consultations and training for the formation of social and life skills, health education, community activation, information campaigns aimed at combating hate speech, discrimination, including online.
The importance of cooperation with the local government was excitedly emphasized by the “Health and Social Development” Foundation Chairperson, Dr. Elena Kabakchieva, who noted,
“There is actually one approach and many solutions, and the goal is clear – healthy children that are well-prepared for the educational system and socially conscious, who shall be the capital for the development of the municipality.”
MID Samokov Center is a fact now, another step towards the sustainable development and social well-being for Samokov and its residents.
