On July 6, 2023, in Nikola Vaptsarov - 1894 Bansko, an opening press conference was held under project BGLD-1.007-0031 „Development of cultural and festival activities by providing a modern mobile stage", with the beneficiary Municipality of Bansko and partners Nikola Vaptsarov - 1894 and "Izbor", a non-profit association for the implementation of community service activities for parents and children with intellectual and physical disabilities. The event was opened by Mr. Ivan Kadev, mayor of Bansko municipality. The main goal of the project is to create jobs, integrate vulnerable groups, increase the competitiveness of individuals on the labor market and confirm the potential of Bansko for development as a cultural festival destination offering various forms of tourism. Five employees at the Earth and People Museum have already been appointed to the project. Training will be provided to new staff to acquire the skills and knowledge to work in the specific cultural environment, as well as to acquire communication and technical skills. The newly appointed employees will be mentored by two mentors who are already actively supporting their work and providing the necessary support and assistance. It is expected that a modern mobile stage will be purchased within the project in order to provide opportunities for the development of cultural and festival activities, which are extremely numerous even outside the winter season on the territory of the municipality. The deadline for the project proposal is April 30, 2023.
