On May 26, 2023, a press conference was held to launch a project BGLD-1.007-0037 „Museum of gardening – a living tale of the gardening region Lyaskovets“, with beneficiary Local Initiative Group Lyaskoves - Stražitsa. The main objectives of the project, as well as the expected results of its implementation and their effect on the local community and the city of Lyaskovets, were presented to representatives of local media and citizens. Project "Museum of gardening – a living tale of the gardening region Lyaskovets" is aimed at creating an opportunity for better positioning of the Museum of gardening as a tourist destination and its better presentation as a tourist product, by renovating a documentary room and an outdoor exhibition area in the museum. Unique in its theme and presentation, the Museum of gardening in Lyaskovets tells the story of the Bulgarian gardeners who became famous in Europe and the world in the19th and 20th centuries with their skills in growing vegetables. This unique historical process has enormous local significance, but is little known to the public. Through the activities included in the project proposal, the modernization and renovation of the exhibition areas, as well as the overall presentation of the museum as a tourist product, is envisaged. With the improvement of the material base - replacement of morally obsolete exhibition facilities and improvement of the conditions in the outdoor exhibition areas, an environment that meets the expectations of visitors will be created. The implementation of the project "Museum of gardening – a living tale of the gardening region Lyaskovets" will provide an opportunity for the overall promotion of the Museum and through this, the promotion and preservation of the local history of the town of Lyaskovets. Jobs will be provided to five permanently unemployed people from the target group under the project, and the value of the project is BGN 253,396.16 and the deadline is April 30, 2024.
