On August 12, 2021, the International Youth Day, a public presentation of the project BGLD-2.001-0004 "Establish a Youth Centre in the city of Montana" was held, with beneficiary the Municipality of Montana.
The main objective of the project is to improve the quality of life of young people on the territory of Montana including those at risk and disadvantaged people, by establishing a Youth Center in Montana, which will provide comprehensive services for youth related to innovative, educational and non-formal trainings, psychological help and support, forums on youth problems and challenges, cultural, civic and sports initiatives. The activities are focused to a wide range of educational modules, trainings and clubs based on informal methods. The ultimate objective is to build key competencies and skills for personal and professional development in young people. The activities are aimed at supporting the multicultural approach, protecting the democratic values and promoting the active participation of youth, both in public life and in the activities and initiatives of the Youth Center, which will meet the highest standards for youth work according to the quality requirements of the Council of Europe.
Youth workers from the Youth Center - Vratsa attended the event and participated with a short presentation on "What is youth work?" in order to orient the future youth workers and educational mediators for their activities in the Youth Center under construction in the city of Montana, illustrating all this with interesting energizers and video.
