On November 11-13, 2019, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) and the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) have organized a two-day workshop, focused on the progress of their joint project "Novel Approaches to Generating Data on Hard-to-reach Populations at Risk of Violation of their Rights", financed by the “Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Enhanced Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups” programme, supported by the EEA Financial Mechanism.
Representatives of other state institutions, scientific and non-governmental organizations as well as representatives of the Programme Operator were also invited to participate in the workshop.
The discussions were focused mainly on the results of the preparatory phase of the project, such as the definition of vulnerable groups that will be subject of the project survey; the list of indicators to be examined with this survey and its specific instrument (questionnaire). The participants have also discussed the general policies that could use the proposed indicators and have suggested several ideas to the project team to be implemented in the preparation of the survey and in the analysis of its results.
The beneficiary and his project partner reaffirmed their commitment to make the results of the project public, as well as to use all opportunities to ensure its sustainability.
