The “Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Enhanced Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups” Programme financed by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021 is implemented in partnership with the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities (KS) and the Council of Europe (CoE). The main goal of the Programme is to strengthen the economic and social cohesion, ensure a systematic approach in local development and reduce poverty through integrated measures in the field of education, employment and healthcare.
To achieve this goal, the projects were supported by funds under the Programme in three main directions: “Increased social and economic development of disadvantaged municipalities”, “Enhanced social inclusion of children and youth” and “Enhanced inclusion of Roma”.
In connection with the completion of the activities under the “Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Enhanced Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups” Programme, the Programme Operator’s team has organized a closing event to present the achieved results, share good practices and exchange experience. The event will be held on May 30, 2024 in Sofia, Opera 1 hall at the Grand Hotel Astoria (8, Gen. Totleben Blvd., 1606 Sofia) from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The event will be held in two modules:
During the first module, the results and effects achieved by the Programme will be presented together with the presentation of good practices from beneficiaries who have implemented projects under the Programme.
The second module, which will be held in groups with stakeholders’ representatives, will open a space for discussions, exchange of experiences and good practices. The work of the groups in the second module will be organized by moderators and presented in summary at the end of the event.
